First time trip to Japan
My daughter and I went to Japan for two weeks. The first time trip for her. The weather was excellent in spite of rainy season and we had a very relaxing time there.
New green around my parents
Below is a picture taken during an onsen trip. She's so happy with futon on tatami room. Rolling over is the most popular thing she does now. Wasn't it such a fun you could travel freely from one end to the other end of the room!

Got my strength back!
I am finally getting used to the stress on my arms and back from daily work of picking up and looking after a baby.
To maintain my physical strength, I am planning to keep hiking schedule with my dogs three times a week from now on.
Also, it's important to adjust myself to the climate before the steamy hot summer begins.
And so I got all fired up with my new plan this morning.
Except Margaux and Tora are not exactly on the same page with me.

"Let's rest here a while, shall we?"
"Going already?"

Between April and May
Howdy! It's me again, replacing my lazy mommy.
April was so refreshing. Mom and I often went to nearby country park.
(←not sure if this count as being in the beach..)
and I made them happy with my golden smiles and they went home.
I'm growing so fast that won't fit in to clothes I used to wear. I'm growing out of mommy's favorite prisoner's outfit very soon, too.

"Feel so nice in the woods!"
In the meantime, my relatives from the UK came down.
They spent the time going sightseeing and going to nearby beach everyday,

Helping Hand
After three weeks while watching daily recovery of Japan on the news, a dog was found floating on the debris in the sea, was rescued and reunited with the owner.
While there must be more animals that are separated from their owners, I cannot help but to pray each day for them to find their family soon or find new home.
Hong Kong SPCA is conducting fund raising drive for tsunami animals and myself and Tora joined the activity the other day. As of end of last month, they have collected HK$500,000 and donated the money to this animal welfare organization.
Cesar Millan's welfare group, Millan Foundation also donated some. (Here is the article.)
It is such a beautiful thing to see helping hand is provided globally across the ocean.
Within Japan, there are also people who actively rescuing and homing dogs. →(East Japan Earthquake Dogs and Cats Rescue Izuoshima)
Here is my dearest wish that tsunami animals' future will be brighter by the help of gathered supplies and donations.

Dogs in Kennedy Town Part 1
From the friendly gesture and the collars they are wearing, I suppose they are not stray dogs.
It made me think that human and dogs can coexist in the city like this. But stay away from the street, doggies. I don't want you guys get hit by car!

'You're bit chubby', none of your business, doc!
Anywayz, putting my chubbiness aside, I can swing my head left and right now!
And look! I get poofy hair every time I wake up!

Hang in there, Japan!
To the people in the quake area, relatives and friends in Japan, please be strong to get through this difficult time!
I pray that lost pets in devastated areas are rescued and reunited with their families as much as possible.
Cesar Millan commented on his facebook that he'd like to help out animal rescue efforts for Japan and looking for local organizations where he can reach out. Then I found this organization on internet. I would like to take a part in this as much as I can.

Back to hiking
I went to the first hiking with dogs since baby was born.
We left early to avoid crowd of hikers. Hiking is very popular around this time.

There were lots of waves down at the beach with a wind blowing from east. Must be a fun day for surfers.
Venturous Margaux ran here and there like a fox.

Playmate
Margaux loves running. And if she finds someone faster, she must hunt it down.
If there is nothing to chase, Tora becomes her easy target,
and poor Tora has to run and run.
Recently, however, Tora acknowledges her 'duty' in order to play Margaux's game.
It maybe little difficult to see, but before she starts running, Tora is showing 'Are you ready?' sign to Margaux.

Reminds me of...
The Art of Racing in the Rain
Bought this book on impulse last year. The picture on cover page reminded me of someone..
↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓
By the way, the dog appeared in the book is a lab terrier mix, so very different from Margaux. The story telling is done by the dog (ENZO), a little bit sad story. I liked it though as the story is based in a city where I used to live during my university years, so a lot of familiar scenes and name of places appears.

This past month
Howdy! How do you do, I am the new baby in the house. Since mummy is so busy getting to her blog, I am going to take over this one.

Jiji and Baba enjoyed dim sum and did a lot of sightseeing.
They also went to a place called Sai Kung with Margaux and Tora.
(I heard that Tora was scared when she saw a giant fish there!)
Dad's been trying so hard being 'Daddy' that he hurt his leg and had to use funny tools to walk for a while, but he's fine now. Silly, my daddy.
Jiji and Baba's arms were so comfy and made me sleepy and sleepy..
When I was wake, daddy made me dizzy with his flashing camera.
And I saw flashing lights like this from friend's house as well.
They were much more noisy and made the whole sky sunny.
Mummy's been spending time with me all the time.
I can smile better now so she's always filming me. I'm amazed!
But she doesn't forget to take Margaux and Tora for walkies sometimes.

I wish I could come to walk with them very soon...
Baby grows so fast that everyday has new surprise.
Although baby needs so much help, it's kind of nice to see that she grows and grows, all because of our full of love and affection.
Margaux and Tora were three months old when I met them. I wonder how they spent their first few months with their mums..
