Peak To Fong (2)

The event is called Peak To Fong as you walk your dog from the Peak (start) to Lan Kwai Fong (end).

My support will be based in Lan Kwai Fong street to set up a x'mas booth and to sell collections of x'mas dog toys which were donated by local pet shops.

At half eight in the morning, we all arrive at LKF.

The dog walkers will be arriving by 11, so we quickly start setting up the booth.

Finally, the x'mas booth is built!

The santa has arrived too!

The street was filled with people and x'mas booth enjoyed the full success of earning more than 10,000 dollars!

It was a great heart-warming day, touched by people's heart and kindness :)

Here's my hope that rescued dogs will not have to die in vain.
Here's my hope that rescued dogs will find their new home soon.

Peak To Fong (1)

On November 29th, I am volunteering at a charity event called Peak To Fong, carried out by Hong Kong Dog Rescue, specifically at x'mas booth which sells x'mas toys for dogs.

The preparation started a month ago and the team of supporters gathered today to tie up the loose ends for the last time.

We are making 500 x'mas tree ornaments.

We're getting really excited about tomorrow!

Rooftop!

Our new apartment has a rooftop.

I showed it to the dogs and they love it, especially Margaux.

She's running crazy

and very happy.

I was worried that moving house might confuse the dogs but they seem to feel the safest and at home where their family is.

Move Completed!

The two-day move has finally completed.

Boxes were packed and piled in no time,

and what's left was an empty flat.

Dogs were taking it easy in the back room,

and the day-1 work was finished before the sundown.

I said the last good-night to the beautiful crescent moon.

The next morning.  Where we moved?  To a place called, Chung Hom Kok.

It's the tiny peninsula marked in red on the map, just next to Repulse Bay.
There is a little mountain at the tip of this peninsula and that is the view we get from our living room.

 'ah, i see..'

There are many stuff to unbox still, but I am so glad that big stressful part of the move is finished.  Our new chapter of Hong Kong life starts today!

Good bye, Repulse Bay

We are having calm autumn morning here in Hong Kong.

We will say good bye to this view today.

We will pack and move the house tomorrow.  Good bye, Repulse Bay!

Asia Cup Qualifying Final

Today, we went to see Asia cup final, Japan vs. Hong Kong.

Box seat!  yey!
It's chilly out tonight so this is perfect!

A lots of photographers on Japan goal side.

The first goal attempt! but did not succeed..

I don't follow football usually, but I 'DO' know Syunsuke Nakamura!
This is Nakamura's corner kick!

Go Nakamura!

Such a difference in watching game on TV and watching real game!

Why all of sudden those players look so attractive although you are so used to watch them on TV!  Why oh why!
(This is Nakamura's dribbling)

Tony should be cheering Japan for Nakamura used to play for Celtic!
(Nakamura's throw-in)

In 33minutes of the first half, Japan made the first goal!!

Subsequently Japan scored another three goals and won four nil!

Nakamura's play was no doubt world-class!  I'm glad that he did not quit after Celtic and kept playing for Japan.  I had a great day today.

Freezin'!

I opened the window this morning and was shivering for the first time in a while.  The temperature was record-low, 11 celsius!

I remember November last year wasn't this cold.

Tora is curled up on a cushion like a cat.

It's cold but perfect for dogs.

November evening sky in HK

The evening sky is so beautiful here now.

I saw 'Sheep Clouds', like the ones you see in Japan in fall.  (taken by Tony)

makes me feel little nostalgic..

Here's a piece I took.

Wish we can conserve the beauty of nature like these forever.

PS.  We have to say good-bye to this familiar scenery soon.  We + dogs will be moving to a new place.

Doggie Beaches

There are a lot of beaches in Hong Kong island, but not so much where dogs can go.

But if you look into, you will find some doggie beaches.

This is one of the beaches which belongs to a boat club and our favorite beach we often go in the weekends.

It has a long sandy shore and the sea is clean, too.
You can have light meals at the boat house cafe.  The shop owner doesn't mind dogs and he has two unleashed dogs as well.

This beach below is at a place within our walking-range.

We often stop by here on the way to walk home.

While dogs love the sea and the shore, it is sad that there are only handful beaches they can be..

We, the doggie beach expedition continues to search more beaches!

'Which beach are we going today?'
