I've been hearing about the famous cookie store in Stanley and finally found it out from an acquaintance recently.
The shop is called, Jenny's Bakery. It is located on the second floor of a shabby building in Stanley Market. I would've found it before only if I had looked the sign above my head! (and I usually don't!)
They say the shop is so popular that it's not uncommon to see a long queue. We got there just before closing time but luckily there were some cookies left. Phew!
What i was recommended was an assorted cookies of four different flavor. It comes in a round tin can... with a teddy bear print. The remnant of colonial days?!

Anyhow, the cookies!! I opened the can, and wow! cookies are jam-packed!!
This reminds me of crowed town of Hong Kong!
The cookies also made me recall the cookie/cake shop I used to go in Seattle china town. While I was feeling nostalgic about it, I threw one cookie into mouth. Crunch, and the next second, the rest of the cookie in my mouth turned to powder. Almost choking myself, I run to the fridge and sought a help of milk. What a shocker!
The pleated cookies have those surprising texture, with butter flavor and not all that sweet. (brown is coffee flavored).
The other cookies without pleats are firmer like regular cookies. Brown one is a mix of oats and raisin.
Cookies here are all hand made. Please have a try when you had a chance to visit Hong Kong!
