A new weapon at our household

Food mixer and processor.

I wasn’t sure about KENWOOD food processor as I thought they only make car audio stuff but surprisingly, they make various electronic kitchenware.  

Before purchasing this, there was a dilemma of getting a food processor and a mixer separately but nothing beats the idea of getting one with two functions.   And it  does 18 more other things if you purchase different attachments.  Fantastic!!!

Well, seeing is believing.  I've decided to make a pound cake as a warm-up.

Got ingredients ready.

First, beat butter and sugar until creamy.

It took 2 minutes to make a smooth butter while it would been more if you did it by hands.  

Mix in egg and rum, then take the bowl out from the machine and add flower.

It took only 10 minutes to make a thick and glossy butter.

Add dry fruits (blueberries) and scrape the butter into the pan.

The pan is little big for the butter, so don't know how it's gonna come out.

Anywayz, bake in the oven for 45 minutes at 180 degree heat.  Looks good! :)

It’s a funny-shaped pound cake but hey, it smells good!  Well-done, Taeko.

Gardening

Cloudy and rainy weekend is gone.

And the sun came back today so I decided to organize my greenhouse in preparation of typhoon season.

These are mini tomato seedlings planted in April.  They are going well.

It’s getting bushy so supporting poles are added.  Hoping a good harvest!

These are red chilies.  They are easy to grow from seeds.

Chilli stems are not firm so they also need supporting poles.

One of the seedlings was chewed by the dogs so I'm adding more.

Hope they are not going to be eaten this time.

Planted more seeds.

Jun 5                              A seedling wearing a seed shell.  It’s kind of cute!

Now, old and new seedlings are mixed together in a larger container.  I'm expecting beautiful and big sunflowers this summer.

Today’s Match

A battle over a spot on Taeko’s sofa.

Tora: ‘This is mai spot!’

Margaux: ‘It’s mine, too!’

Margaux: ‘Bring it on, then!’

Tora: ‘Ahhh!!’

The battle is ON!

Margaux employs groundwork.

Margaux holds Tora still.

Tora can’t do move at all.

                            

The Referee goes, ‘ONE!’

‘TWO!’

Tora fights back but Margaux wouldn’t budge.

‘THREE!!!’

The game is up!  Tora is mortified.

Margaux has won the victory but exhausted.
